“What if, in 2060...?”
“What if, in 2060...?” is a personal photographic and mixed-media project in which the artist confronts fears related to the future, time, and the transformation of identity. The work is based on three self-portraits from different stages of the artist’s life, printed in A4 format and subjected to manual intervention. Each portrait is almost entirely covered with black pastel, leaving only a single visible fragment - the eyes, the lips, or the hair. These remaining elements function as fragile anchors of identity, while the obscured areas reflect anxiety, uncertainty, and the fear of loss. The act of covering the images is an integral part of the project and carries an emotional, almost therapeutic dimension. Through physical interference with the photographs, the artist attempts to externalize and confront unspoken fears about the future. The final works are digitally scanned in order to preserve traces of touch, pressure, and gesture, merging photography with tactile, plastic action. Each of the three images represents a different possible scenario of the future. Two of them visualize fear and uncertainty, while the third introduces an alternative perspective. Possibility that, despite anxiety and doubt, everything may ultimately turn out well. This image becomes  a quiet space of hope, standing in contrast to the dominant sense of unease present in the project.
